19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid year, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-time coach his previous coach.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks his first title following the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from spring of 2023.
The win also means he has won 21 titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is particularly special," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
His defensive approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to wonder if his capacity to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and compete positively, backed up by an improved serve.
He fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden tour victory, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet rescued four initial opportunities in a close final set before the champion broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
